Hey! Kevin here. The gates are open, the confetti is everywhere, and I have been refreshing the Steam Market all morning for no reason at all. Welcome to Dota2Arcana! 🎉

Quick confession before anything else: I love Dota 2, I love arcanas, and I am slightly unhinged about both. I own too many skins, I want the rest, and every time a price drops I hear a little voice saying “buy it, you deserve it”. This site exists so that voice at least has good numbers. 😄

What this place is

One site, one topic: every Dota 2 arcana, tracked like a stock.

• The Dota2Arcana Ranking: all 24 arcanas, ranked by what players actually buy (copies sold on Steam in 30 days). #1 is #1 because people voted with their wallets, not because I like the hero.
• Prices from five markets: Steam, Skinport, DMarket, Lis-Skins and BitSkins, side by side, refreshed several times a day. Spoiler: Steam is rarely the cheapest.
• Price history back to 2013: 51,861 daily price points across 4,763 days, from the very first arcana sale on the Steam Market. Every arcana has its own chart, and the Arcana Index tells you whether arcanas as a whole are getting pricier or cheaper.
• Every arcana in 3D: 23 of 24 stand on a podium with their animations and every set piece. Click a piece, it lights up. Take it off, put it back on. I have spent an embarrassing amount of time doing exactly that.
• Guides: the cheapest arcanas, where to buy them, how to get one, every release date and every style and unlock. All of them update themselves with every price refresh.

What this blog is

My corner. Here I write what the arcana market did, where I smell a bargain, and the mistakes I made so you don’t have to. Expect bad comparisons, Dota jokes, and a monthly market report with real numbers. There is even an Arcana Hype Meter on top of every post now: 0 means every arcana is falling, 100 means everything is pumping. Right now it sits at the very bottom, which tells you how October started. 📉

Two rules, and I will repeat them until you are sick of it:

1. Every number on this site comes from real market data. No made-up prices, no “trust me bro”. If I give an opinion, I say it is one.
2. Nothing here is financial advice. I buy skins because I love them. If you buy one because I got excited, that is on you. 😄

Who is “we”?

Kevin (that’s me, the one talking too much) and Claudio, two Dota 2 players from Germany who have been in this game since the first DotA map in Warcraft III. We also run three other Dota 2 sites, but this one is the shiny one.
